What You're Trying to Do to Me

What do I think of when I think of you?
Oh, you confuse me more than I could say.
You know me, though, I'll try it anyway,
And in the trial, I'll be working through
The components that make my point of view.
Sometimes you sparkle (you did yesterday);
In other moments, struggle as I may,
I cannot get a smile. If I knew
How to extract those, then I think I could
Spend years with you. Of course I cannot tell
If you would like that. Would you? Let me know.
I cannot guess. I know you know me well,
Yet cannot flatter that you think me good,
Although I'm certain that I think you so.
