Asensual

Desire is stronger than weak principle
Which close behind it, scoldingly,
But never can restrain it. Risible,
Pathetic and downtrodden heavily
Poor principle must trail behind its foe
Forever crying out against excess
But never being able to say no
Effectively. Despondent sans success
It seems as if the principle must sink
Into oblivion. Yet it cannot
For without principles to make a stink
How could desire joy in what it got?
This symbiosis might in turn suggest
A lack of both is possible, and best.
