Re

My everyday consistent relaxation
Is reading what I have already read;
There is no neurological taxation
When hearing words I've already heard said.
I thus review without much aggravation
The books I love and mostly memorized;
When I return home in my enervation
I do not have the wit to be surprised.
This makes my life a pleasure by returning
Down paths that I have often tread before;
The embers that within me are still burning
Get oxygen from books that they adore.
It's not that I can't take in something new
It's that, on balance, I just don't want to.
