Wishing

Have a happy birthday now my dear
And know I wish somehow I could be there
But if my body's not, my soul is near
Bringing you warm and love to show I care.
I hope you love your presents, and you spend
The hours, every one of twenty-four
Enjoying, dancing, laughing without end
Doing all the things that you adore
And reveling in doing so, without
A single worry in your joyous head
No sadness, no discomfort, and no doubt
But only mirth and happiness instead.
And when you think of me (I hope you will)
Remember only that I love you still.
