Basking

Had I my pick of women, I
Would choose again the one I chose;
For in my heart she's lodged, to lie
Until the body 'round it goes.
And so until I come to die
Passing beyond these mortal throes
I only choose to sit and sigh
For her, and count it in my woes
That she is far from me. To be
With her is all I want or need
And there is nothing else I ask
Save to enjoy her love and bask
In it. With her love guaranteed
All life is joy and strength to me.
