A Fine Romance

I'm only comfortable when you're with me.
It isn't lust, although I have that too;
It's just, whenever I'm apart from you
I don't feel right or whole. I used to be
Contented when alone, usually,
And capable of knowing what to do
When we were separated. If I knew
Then how to live alone successfully,
Why can't I now? Because I've had the chance
Of being with you, so I know the cost,
What I missing when we're not together.
I'm tied to you by that, a loving tether;
Without that tie, I find that I am lost.
That's what I mean when I speak of romance.
