I should have gotten out of there before,
When no one else had realized the issue;
Then there was no one heading for the door,
And the resistance would have been like tissue.
Now someone's noticed that we ought to go,
And notified the others that they should.
Of course that's nothing that I didn't know,
But it was better when nobody could
Block my own exit; now I'm trapped in here
Uncertain if I'll find my way alright
Out of this place. I should be free and clear,
But that's my fault, for not fleeing on sight.
The fire will spread, and we will flee, unless
Someone has locked the doors on this whole mess.
