It's 22 minutes to Austin
Another half hour on the bus
But only three hours to Boston
Plus a modicum of fuss.
So why is it called commuting
To get here from one of these places
While the other is full uprooting
With tears, farewells, and embraces?
Of course, one costs much more to do
The other's just a couple dollars,
But with so little to go through
Two more hours, a couple hollers,
I don't quite get the difference
Between them in real consequence.
